Hi – I’m Alex, and I’ve been working with InnerVisions ID for a few months now. I head up our social media and project manage some of the bigger projects. I also manage Sapna, and keep her on her toes (well, she’s tiny). Being organised and bossy with an events background is an excellent foundation for this, so we decided the best way to describe my role is ‘Chief Whip’!
My Masters in Business Management and my experience in fundraising, events and business development is a little more relevant to what I’m doing at InnerVisions ID than my Theology degree and PGCE…but what I have learnt so far is that no experience is ever wasted, and that the more you can learn about yourself the better you are going to be in business.
There are loads of great places that I’ve worked, most of which seem to (coincidentally) be beautiful Grade 1 listed buildings – Harrods, the National Maritime Museum, the RIBA and St Paul’s Cathedral.
More recently I’ve worked in business development for a catering company in the City and blogged for a market research recruitment consultancy.
I’m fascinated by design and branding, so when I met Sapna and we chatted, I decided that I want to be closely involved with building something from the beginning, especially a new kind of business that fits around our home-life and children.
Working at InnerVisions ID is exciting and exhilarating and it brings about interesting work and fresh challenges every day – which definitely keeps me on my toes as well!
