Despite a graphic design degree, marketing MA and dreams of starting my own design agency, I then accidentally fell into radio and a 20-year media career working for emap, Chrysalis, The Telegraph, O2 and Trinity Mirror Group. I moved from marketing to creating, selling and implementing creative content-led multimedia campaigns across radio, press, TV, online, events and mobile for brands like Toyota, VW, Mercedes, Sony Ericsson, O2, Clinique, Selfridges, Kellogg’s, The Open University, Rockstar, Oakley, Rimmel and Age UK.
After my second child, I completed an interior design degree for a change of career. But meanwhile, friends starting their businesses were asking me to design their logos, brochures and websites.
My marketing, advertising and sales experience meant I was helping not just with their design, but with their strategy and messaging too.
I’d end up coaching them on their target markets, brand values, marketing communications and sales strategies.
Word of mouth meant the business was growing organically, so I ‘officially’ launched InnerVisions ID in October 2015.
When not working, I love good food, working out, film, art, music, style and design and I enjoy ‘Prosecco Playdates’ with my friends and our kids. I love learning new stuff and embrace new challenges: so far this has included learning to ski, pole-dance (!), I tried to learn coding (then realised it was easier to get an expert to do it), interior design, making crazy cakes and putting on ultra-themed parties for my boys, parenthood (!) and I lately took a course on how to build a business. Building InnerVisions ID and helping my clients is my ongoing passion (I’m more likely to be seen reading a book on business or creativity than a novel. Sad, I know…)
