Having done a graphic design degree and marketing MA, I fell into a 20 year media career working for emap, Chrysalis, The Telegraph, O2 and Mirror Group. I started in marketing B2B/B2C, then moved to creating, selling and implementing creative content-led multimedia campaigns across radio, press, TV, online, events and mobile for brands like Toyota, VW, Mercedes, Sony Ericsson, O2, Clinique, Selfridges, Kellogg’s, The Open University, Rockstar, Oakley and Rimmel.
After my second child, I started an interior design degree for a change of career. But meanwhile, friends were starting their own businesses and asked me to help with their logos, brochures and websites.
My marketing and sales experience meant I was ‘more than a designer’ to them. I’d send them back into the world with increased confidence and a business that looked more professional, more established, with a clearer look and stronger voice, but I’d also end up teaching them about their target markets, brand values, marketing communications and sales strategies.
Word of mouth meant I already had a growing branding business, so I launched InnerVisions ID in October 2015.
When not working, I’m (apparently) ‘Queen of the Prosecco Playdate’. I love eating out, working out, film, art, music and design. I take a new challenge every year. So far this has included skiing, pole-dancing, coding, interior design, volunteering, crazy cakes, being a mum (!) and a course on how to build a business.
