If you want to see how truly life-changing branding can be, Marie-Clare used to run her catering company Marie-Clare Cooks as a hobby, but since the rebrand, she found the courage to quit her day-job and focus on her passion full-time!
In her own words, “My company identity lacked consistency and was confusing. Although I realised that this needed to be addressed, I had been putting this off for years.
InnerVisions ID quickly identified the core of my business, my brand, my target market, my positioning and came up with the strapline ‘For the Love of Food’. This was very telling for me as they totally ‘got me’ and understood that that’s just why I do it!
Sapna coached me through my indecisive moments and was very patient with me. She has a clear passion for what she does and really gets under the skin of your business to understand what it is that makes you who you are, and then expresses this beautifully through her designs.
I am so happy with my new branding. It’s fun, cheeky, full of personality and I love it!
I would happily recommend InnerVisions ID for any brand identity work.”
Marie-Clare Alphonso, Owner, Marie-Clare Cooks
Marie-Clare had no real branding when we met. No logo (bar a drawing by her then-14-year-old niece which MC was attached to, but used only sporadically and wasn’t doing her any favours!), a grey, cluttered website and a Facebook page that didn’t go with anything.
Marie-Clare Cooks Logo design
Inspired by her original drawing (left), we created a chic, 1960s French fashion-style illustration, tapping into MC’s heritage. Colours and typography were also styled on vintage French wine labels. Marie-Clare Cooks’ strapline, ‘For the Love of Food‘, she said, totally summed her up!
The red top acts like the red lipstick MC wears – a flash of colour to catch the eye and add energy to the identity.
We applied the new branding to her business cards and packaging. MC’s chilli jam is a best-seller so we did a bespoke label for that.
Marie-Clare Cooks Website
We also overhauled her website, focusing on its core role and reducing the pages from 14 to 4!
Sumptuous, vibrant close-up food imagery also brought the site to life.
